So if this problem affects us (windows 7 users), is there anything we can do?

Code has been changed to reduce the chances of error happening.  No new code is possible, and no new code can be released to fix this user system issue.

Root cause of error is due MBR requires that WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model) is working and supported on Win7 systems.

Users experiencing this error (now, after code was fixed) have system problem that prevents "Aero Peek" mode working properly.

>> Does your Aero Peek mode work?

Solutions:

1: Make sure Win 7 has all security patches and recent updates.

2: Must have graphics hardware/software that supports WDDM - technical information here

3: Requires that "Transparency" be enabled in Windows Themes >> Windows Color & Appearance settings

4: "Themes" service must be set to "Automatic" startup type ( run services.msc from command line)

PC noob?

Read the links above and still do not understand?  Pictures/instructions can be found on web search easily, like here:

Aero Not Working  (from TheWindowsClub)  or

Troubleshooting Aero Problems in Windows 7 (from Microsoft)

Many more WWW pages are available if you look.....
